This timber-framed studio was designed and built for the local artist and former muse of Pablo Picasso, Lydia Corbett www.lydiacorbettart.com. The building needed to act both as a working studio and as a gallery. The interior was kept as open as possible, incorporating a vaulted roof to maximise space and light. The exterior was designed to be sympathetic to the surrounding agricultural area, using overlapping larch timber boards, a natural slate roof and modern galvanised guttering.
Testimonial: "My studio is a heavenly place; the design is perfect. I am grateful to you and your skilled craftsmen. Thank you for the harmony in the team." Lydia Corbett
