Modern Abode focuses on using high quality, locally-sourced materials. We build with a range of different woods including cedar, oak and douglas fir. We source a varierty of stone including Dartmoor granite, Cornish/Welsh slate and Bath stone. We also use decorative metalwork, stainless steel balustrading, glass balconies, indoor and outdoor tiling, a wide range of decking, ecological and organic paints and wood treatment systems. Roof coverings include zinc, copper and slate.

The client is always closely involved in the design process and choice of materials.
