This Georgian farmhouse is located in a picturesque village in the South Hams. The project involved a major reconstruction of the inside of the property, including replacing all floor structures and windows, timbers and beams, as well as renovating the whole staircase. Materials were reused where possible to maintain as much of the original character as possible. The outside of the property was rerendered with traditional lime rendering putties, then painted with many coats of limewash. We created a new facade and also added two sympathetic extensions to the rear of the property, incorporating traditional slate and woodworking construction techniques.
